The annual competition for the Wallis Trophy, organised by the Hong Kong Police Lawn Bowl Club, concluded successfully with the final played at the Police Officers' Club on April 28. Four teams made it to the final after 12 teams took part in the preliminary rounds in the past two months.

Following a very close contest, Marine Region Team 1 narrowly beat Traffic Kowloon West by 19 to 18. The third and fourth places went to Police Headquarters teams 1 and 2 respectively.

Presenting trophies to the winners, Marine Regional Commander Chang Mo-see praised the players' performances, especially those entering the competition for the first time.

At the tea reception after the prize presentation, guests and players further shared the joy and fun of the competition. Budding bowlers said they had learned more about the sport and its skills, and hoped to see more new players take part in next year’s competition.
