A group of 65 students aged between eight and 14 from the Yuexiu District in Guangzhou, each representing a school in the district, recently visited Enforcement and Control, Traffic Hong Kong Island, in Happy Valley. Among the brightest students of the district, the visitors were selected by their schools as "Young Reporters of the 2010 Asian Games" to promote the Games to Hong Kong people on a three-day trip.

During their trip, the "young reporters" visited the places to which a tourist normally does not have access, such as TV Station and police units. A crew from the Nanfang TV Station of Guangzhou covered their activities in Hong Kong.

The trip has left the "young reporters" and their teachers with a big impression. Teacher Qiu Xiaoxue said the students had a wonderful trip and took a great interest in police uniforms. She said she was surprised to find the jackets for traffic police well designed - better than what she had anticipated, with the designer giving attention to every detail. She also found that directing traffic in hot and humid weather was no easy task.

The "young reporters" were equally impressed with what they saw - modern police cars and equipment, as well as officers’ professionalism in keeping roads safe and handling traffic accidents.
