RCPO KE's summer vacation initiatives
Since mid last month, the Regional Crime Prevention Office of Kowloon East (RCPO KE) has been visiting schools in Kowloon East to remind principals or teachers to act to prevent burglary on their campuses during the summer vacation.
In letters to schools, RCPO KE also reminded the school authorities to conduct security checks of their campuses and employ more security staff if necessary during the summer vacation.
To prevent drug abuse among youths, RCPO KE officers, assisted by School Liaison Officers, also teamed up with the Evergreen Lutheran Centre (a psychotropic substance abuse counselling centre for youth) of the Hong Kong Lutheran Social Service, a partner of KE's anti-youth drug project "Sunshine", to deliver drug talks to over 600 students. The officers also called on the students to be wary of summer job scam.
