Anti-beach theft campaign underway
Western District's Anti-beach Theft Campaign has been underway since early this month, and feedback so far indicates that this annual drive has been well received by the general public.
The campaign is the joint effort of Western District, Aberdeen Division, Southern District Council, Southern District Fight Crime Committee, Western Junior Police Call Honorary President Council and local kai fong associations. The slogan of the campaign is "Watch over your property", which is being driven home with publicity souvenirs and leaflets for the public.
The campaign was launched at Repulse Bay Beach on July 3, with Southern District Council Chairperson, Ms Mar Yuet-har; Southern District Fight Crime Committee Chairman, Mr Ko Kam-cheung; Western Junior Police Call Honorary President Council Chairman, Mr Ng Siu-keung; and Western District Commander Chu Ming-po officiating.
