Force swimmers shine again
The Police Swimming Team captured a total of 15 gold, 17 silver and 17 bronze medals in male and female team events at the Corporate Games Championship at Kowloon Park Swimming Pool on July 18.
In individual events, Inspector Lee Kar-wai and Woman Police Constables Tang Mei-yin and Ma Hoi-ying did particularly well, taking three or four gold medals.
After months of training and preparation, the Police Swimming Club fielded a team of 20 male and four female swimmers for this major competition.
Assistant Commissioner Wong Fook-chuen, who is Chairman of the swimming club, presented prizes as a guest of honour. He was very pleased with Force swimmers' performances and wished them even better results at the "Masters Swimming Competition".
