India Association honours KW officers
It is a long-term commitment of the Force to forge closer relationships with different sectors of the community, including Non-ethnic Chinese. As a result of their efforts in this respect, two officers of Kowloon West have been presented with "Outstanding Police Officer Award" by the India Association of Hong Kong.

The award was presented to Yau Tsim District Special Duties Squad Woman Inspector (WIP) Cheung Hung-yin and Kowloon City District Sergeant (SGT) Lam Kam-ming on August 13. Among the guests of honour present were Consul General of India, Mr L. D. Ralte, Chairman of the Legislative Council, Mr Tsang Yok-sing, Commissioner Tang King-shing, Director of Operations Hung Hak-wai and Kowloon West Regional Commander Fan Sik-ming.
WIP Cheung was complimented for the outstanding performance, devotion to duties and leadership she displayed while conducting intelligence-led operations to successfully neutralise notorious vice syndicates active in the district.
SGT Lam, who is a member of the Force Search Unit, was honoured for his effort and bravery in helping victims of the Ma Tau Wai building collapse retrieve their valuables and property.
