District Commander, Airport District Dear Sirs, Hi, I am writing this letter to express my gratitude to the police who stationed in the Hong Kong Airport last night (August 10, 2010) at about 9pm. Due to my own negligence, I left my notebook computer in the trolley (near Hui Lau Shan Dessert Shop) after arrival in Hong Kong at about 8:45pm. When I found out the same (about 9:05pm), I reported to the police who were patrolling at the Arrivals Hall in Terminal 1 (outside the dessert shop). This team was very kind and accompanied me to approach the "Lost and Found" reception to make a report. They also tried to look around all the trolleys in the Hall and made requests with the staff of the Airport. I understand that they searched the trash in the Hall as well. One of the policemen of this team explained to me about the procedure of reporting a loss and recommended that I should file a report with the police (nevertheless I made a report with the "Lost and Found" reception), which might help me explore the chance to get back the notebook. With the assistance of this team, I got back my notebook at last. I was impressed by the help of this team and have to express my appreciation via this letter. Thank you! B.
