Youth Festival concludes
The Yuen Long Youth Festival, jointly organised by Yuen Long District Council, Yuen Long Town Hall and the Home Affairs Department to celebrate the 91st Anniversary of the "May Fourth Movement", came to a successful conclusion on July 29.
Officiating at the closing ceremony, New Territories North Acting Commander Chiu Wai-yin said the festival had gone a long way in fostering a sense of belonging and community spirit, multi-cultural awareness and commitment to community amongst young people. It was also well received by the local residents, Ms Chiu added.
Officers from Yuen Long District had been actively involved in the Festival, not only helping out with various public events, but also working behind the scenes, with the Police Community Relations Office officers and members of the Tin Shui Wai Division Volunteer Service Team lending a hand to the organising committee.
