||
At the invitation of the Police Training and Development Directorate of INTERPOL, Police College sent Superintendent (SP) Davis Law to Lyon, France, to conduct two workshops on presentation skills for INTERPOL staff in January this year. SP Law is mainly responsible for running the Student Instructors' Course and Effective Presentation Course for Force members. The two identical workshops, each lasting for two days, run from January 25 to 28 for INTERPOL staff from 12 different countries, including France, Italy, Nigeria, Bulgaria, Brazil and Russia. The workshops aimed at improving the participants' skills of public speaking so that they can speak with clarity and confidence when giving presentations. The topics covered included delivery skills, selection of content, structure of presentation and techniques of capturing the audience's attention. The workshops were well received by the audience with either "excellent" or "very good" ratings. Speaking of his training assignment in INTERPOL, SP Law said: "It is an excellent opportunity for me to conduct training for an international audience of 12 different nationalities. I was impressed with their positive learning attitude and active participation in class."
