Latest 'Police Story' : a missing person at risk |

In support of the Force Strategic Directions - Engaging the Community and Supporting Frontline Units, Police Public Relations Branch (PPRB) launched the "Police Stories" Video Programme in June last year. Since then, PPRB has produced a total of four video clips on Professionalism; Love and Care; International Police Co-operation; and Bravery Series and uploaded the clips to the Police Public Page (www.police.gov.hk). There have been favourable comments on the programme. The programme aims at not only engaging the community and supporting frontline officers, but also enlisting public support by projecting a professional and caring image of the Force. Since launching of the programme, PPRB has been encouraging Formations to produce their own footages on special or touching stories. To support the "Police Stories" video programme, the Video Production Interest Group of the Learning Development Support Centre in Police College will provide the necessary technical support. The latest "Police Story" - "Life has changed because of you" - has been uploaded to the Police website. The video is about a "Missing Person At Risk" case that happened in Aberdeen. Report Room staff located the subject lady who had attempted to commit suicide, successfully preventing a tragedy. The video is based on a real case in which officers of Western District had spent a few months in production, from script writing, filming, and editing to other post-production work. Formations having any special stories to share are welcome to contact the TV & Films Section of PPRB on 2860-6186. Preview: Police officers conducted an extensive search operation in Sham Shui Po and an appeal to the public. A two-year-old girl was then rescued and a male was arrested. PPRB has produced a short video of this case - "Happy Reunion". Coming soon!
