In the "procession against the Budget" last Sunday, some demonstrators attacked the police and caused injuries to some frontline police officers. We express deep regret and concern over the incident and write to extend our profound sympathy to the police officers concerned and wish them a quick recovery.

The frontline police officers conscientiously discharged their duties in this incident and exercised a high degree of restraint when maintaining order, displaying excellence in their professional conduct. We would like to pay our highest respects to them. We hereby sincerely thank the police officers for their commitment and dedication to executing their duties and their relentless efforts and contribution in maintaining public order and safety.
