Integrity Management - focus of Training Day |
||
"Honesty and integrity have been the cornerstones of our policing philosophy for years. Its success will rest on officers' personal responsibility and leadership accountability," said Director of Management Service Tang How-kong when he addressed a train-the-trainer workshop in February. He also called for early action should an officer come across problems related to integrity, such as financial difficulties. Police College and Service Quality Wing have jointly developed a training day package on "Integrity Management" to promote integrity across the Force. Objectives of the training package are helping officers understand the importance of integrity and honesty; know more about the Force's strategy on Integrity Management; and identify the behaviour that would give rise to the issue of integrity. Mr Tang has provided a foreword for the training package. Four scenarios on integrity have been designed for discussion by trainees. A total of seven train-the-trainer workshops were conducted for Training and Staff Relations Officers (TSRO) and District Training Team Members between February 16 and 24. Mr Tang joined the trainees at two workshops and shared his views on integrity and honesty. The training package will be rolled out to frontline officers according to the schedules set by their TSROs. Training Manual and PowerPoint have been uploaded to the Training Days Resource Bank on POINT.
