||
A 20-member team of the Police Badminton Club had a friendly badminton match with the teaching staff of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) at CUHK campus on February 12. This annual badminton exchange between the Force and CUHK has been on for six years since 2005. A highlight of this year's event was an opening ceremony for the competition. Among those attending the ceremony were CUHK Vice-Chancellor, Prof Joseph Sung; two former Commissioners of Police, Mr Tsang Yam-pui and Mr Lee Ming-kwai; and Police Badminton Club Chairman, Chief Superintendent Chau Cho-kei. The competition kicked off with a match of men's doubles with Mr Tsang and Mr Chau playing against Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Mr Henry Wong, and CUHK Staff Badminton Club Chairman, Mr Chong Wing-kong. Following a very close match, the Police team won by a small margin. Other matches saw players from both sides demonstrating their badminton skill and enjoying their games. Following the match, the CUHK hosted a dinner where friendship between the Force and CUHK was further strengthened.
