Former Deputy Minister gives thematic talk

During a visit to Hong Kong with a six-member delegation from the Ministry of Public Security, Mr Liu Jing, former Deputy Minister of Public Security, gave a thematic talk on "Security for Major Activities", at Police Headquarters to exchange relevant successful experience with the Force.

Among those attending the talk were Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung, Deputy Commissioner (Operations) Tang Kam-moon, Director of Operations Hung Hak-wai, Director of Crime and Security Lo Wai-chung, Assistant Commissioner (Operations) Wong Chi-hung and Liaison Bureau Senior Superintendent Wong Ying-wai.

During the talk, ACP OPS Wong Chi-hung shared with the delegation the Force's experience of policing major public activities and discussed security arrangements for major events and competitions.

At a dinner reception for the visiting guests, Police Constable Liu Hon-shing from the Police Band gave a performance in Zither (Guzheng), demonstrating the bright and clear timbre of this musical instrument and impressing the audience with incisive and vivid interpretation.

The following day, the delegates toured the Hong Kong Police Museum. The delegates have commented that their visit gave them a better idea of the latest developments in Hong Kong and the challenges and opportunities it is facing.
