Three earn CP Commendation
Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung presented his commendation on May 16 to Superintendent (SP) Chan Sung-shing and Senior Inspector (SIP) Hui Hong-kit from Commercial Crime Bureau, as well as Police Constable (PC) Kwan Kin-man from Kowloon City District for outstanding performances in investigating a highly sophisticated fraud.
SP Chan and SIP Hui have been commended for their leadership, professionalism, resourcefulness and devotion to duty in carrying out a protracted investigation into the fraud, which involved more than 20 banks and public losses of over $4.45 billion. Subsequently, three directors of a listed company in Hong Kong were imprisoned for nine and a half to 12 years.
PC Kwan has earned the CP Commendation for the perseverance, tenacity, professional ability and devotion to duty he displayed while taking part in the same investigation.
