In a bid to prevent Mainland visitors and other tourists from falling preys to crimes, Yau Tsim District (YTDIST) teamed up with MTR Corporation and Railway District (RAILDIST) in staging an anti-crime publicity campaign at Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station before the Easter and Golden Week holidays.

Yau Tsim Mong District Fight Crime Committee Chairman, Mr Wu Man-keung, Vice-chairman, Mr Chan Siu-tong, and Area Committee members showed their full support by taking part in the campaign. Joining them were RAILDIST Deputy District Commander James Betts, Tsim Sha Tsui Acting Divisional Commander Fung Wai-ming, YTDIST Police Community Relations Officer M M Khan and MTR representatives.

During the campaign, copies of a leaflet and poster as well as souvenirs were distributed to visitors, reminding them to beware of pickpockets on trains and take care of their personal belongings in crowded shopping arcades. Crime prevention posters were also handed out to shops in MTR stations.

The publicity campaign has had the backing of local community leaders
