Fun-filled Family Day

A group of kids and their parents had a lot of fun on the Summer Family Fun Day at Police Sports and Recreation Club (PSRC) on August 14.

At the event organised by Police Handicraft Club, Police Model Flying Club and PSRC, the kids, helped by their parents, learned how to make a rubber band-powered model airplane with simple materials, as well as to make a model military helicopter with an ice lolly stick. All of them managed to finish their works in time.

Then they waited eagerly to find out who would win the awards for the longest flying distance and the best design. When the referee started the contest, the kids released model planes from their hands, which flew in various directions, high and low and far and near, and everyone was mesmerised by this sight.

To cater for children's interest in model planes, Police Model Flying Club also gave a demonstration on flying different types of remote-controlled model planes.

It was a day with lots of fun. Following a buffet lunch, Police Handicraft Club took over to teach children how to make different handicrafts, including body painting, paper rabbit, magic and balloon craft. The event ended amid laughter as the evening approached.

The event is well received by both kids and parents
