Auxie hold joint passing-out parade
A Joint Passing Out-parade for 140 Auxiliary Recruit Police Constables of Special Basic Training Course 2011 and 130 Auxiliary officers of Annual Continuation training was held at the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force Headquarters on August 27.
Addressing the officers on parade, the Reviewing Officer, Director of Management Services Tang How-kong, praised them for the efforts they made whilst under training and for their enthusiasm to serve the community. He stressed that they should pay attention to the expectations of the public, and that the Force, with an open-minded attitude, would keep paces with society and secure support from all walks of life.
Mr Tang also took the opportunity to thank the officers' families and colleagues for their support and encouragement for the Auxiliary Police Force.
The Special Basic Training Course caters for undergraduates recruited under the Auxiliary Police Undergraduates Scheme. A total of 738 university students have completed training and joined the Auxiliary Police Force since the scheme commenced in 2003.
