A delivery company has thanked Tsuen Wan District (TWDIST) for recovering $8 million worth of fox fur stolen in a deception case in June this year. Recently, a representative of the company called at TWDIST and presented tapestry banners to District Commander Lam Man-wing, Assistant Commander (Crime) Glenn O'Neill, Chief Inspector Chan Wai-man and CIU 4 DIT 8. The fox fur was stolen while in transit in Hong Kong en route to the Mainland. As the stolen goods might be taken out of Hong Kong in no time, officers acted immediately and recovered the goods within two days. "This case is a very good example of how the Criminal Investigation Unit System can enhance the overall investigative ability of a district," said SP O'Neill. |
