Officers visit Dorset Police
With the arrangement made by Police College, Woman Chief Inspector Crystal Ng and Woman Senior Inspector Lilian Patkin attended a Senior Leadership Course at National Police Improvement Agency (NPIA) in Bramshill, and undertook a post-course attachment to Dorset Police between June and July this year.
The visit was aimed at broadening the officers' knowledge of general policing and allowing them to share experiences and examples of good practice of a legal system with a different cultural background.
During the visit, the two officers observed the general policing and operational work in Dorset Police. Dorchester and Sherborne Neighbourhood Inspector Les Fry gave the officers an insight into the way Safer Neighbourhood Teams work and, in particular, highlighted the commitments of partner agencies to improve quality of life by working together on local issues.
The visit also offered the officers and Dorset Police a good opportunity to share experiences, challenges and good practice in policing.
