Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung presented a Certificate of Appointment to a new Honorary College Associate, Dr Albert Cheuk Chun-yin, Regional Commander of Hong Kong Island, on January 10. Dr Cheuk served as Director of Police College from 2008 to 2010.

"It is my honour to serve as Honorary Associate and I will do my best for the college," Dr Cheuk said.

The appointment of Honorary College Associates aims at recruiting internal Force experts to provide professional advice and conduct learning programmes for Police College. All Honorary Associates are appointed on a two-year term. At present, three police officers are serving as Honorary College Associates. Apart from Dr Cheuk, the other two Honorary College Associates are Assistant Commissioner (Service Quality) Peter Morgan and Officer Commanding of Police Negotiation Cadre, Superintendent Gilbert Wong Kwong-hing. These experts make contributions in various areas, including Police College development, leadership, strategic management, management of public order events and negotiation skills.
