Police ladies volleyball team captures Cartwright Cup
After capturing the Felicia Cup, an invitation cup with local universities, last July, police ladies volleyball teams also shone on last December 3 in the 4th Cartwright Cup, an annual event for ladies disciplined services teams.
Teams from Correctional Services Department, Customs and Excise Department and Immigration Department, as well as two police teams, participated in the competition. After exciting rounds of games, Police Team A, which has a wealth of experience and showed a lot of perseverance, won the championship without losing a single match. Police Team B, also played well and secured the second place.
Dr Malcolm Lam, a staunch supporter for police volleyball teams, presented prizes to the winners and runners-up.
The police ladies volleyball team practices every Thursday from 7 pm to 10pm at Police Sports and Recreation Club. Force members and their family members wishing to join the team may call Sergeant Sam at 9055-1461 or Woman Sergeant Ling at 9431-9957.
