Force wins Po Leung Kuk awards
Around 200 Force members, led by Director of Personnel and Training Ma Wai-luk, participated in the Po Leung Kuk (PLK) Chinese New Year Charity Walk cum Green Carnival on February 12, raising over $110 000 for PLK. In appreciation of the officers' participation in the event, PLK has presented three awards to the Force, namely Diamond Award for donation of $100 000 or more, Highest Donation Award for teams and Highest Number of Participants Award.
At a presentation ceremony at PLK Headquarters on March 21, Chief Superintendent (Personnel Services and Staff Relations) Bernie So received the awards on behalf of the Force. Mr So said: "The awards underscore the Force's tradition of supporting charities and fostering a sense of social responsibility among officers."
