Police volunteers support charity run |

At the invitation of the Leo Club of Peninsula Hong Kong, the Rainbow Police Volunteer Group has assisted in organising the first Peninsula Charity Run. In the cold morning of March 4, Station Sergeant Leung Kui-foon led 26 Police volunteers to lend a helping hand to the organiser at the competition venue, Pak Shek Kok Waterfront Promenade. Attracting more than 600 men and women athletes, the event aimed at encouraging the runners to put themselves to the test in long-distance runs and at the same time raising funds for building schools for the students in the mountainous areas of Guangxi Province. The charity race was divided into categories of men and women's open and Leo 10-km run. Upon completion, the President of the Leo Club of Peninsula Hong Kong, Mr Hung Chi-hang, presented a tapestry banner to the police volunteers for their support for the event. ![]() |
