Director of Marine commends 21 officers |

Twenty-one members of the Force were among the 43 people commended at the 2011 Director of Marine's Commendation for Bravery Presentation held at Marine Department on March 21. Appreciating the awardees' bravery and courage in saving life, Director of Marine, Mr Francis Liu said: "Without brave and public-spirited people like our heroes here today, lives would have been lost and families bereaved. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to our heroes who displayed exceptional bravery and mighty courage, and I offer my congratulations to all of them for their selfless and public-spirited acts." The commended officers are Police Constables (PCs) Wan Hing-wah and Lui Chi-yau (Marine Harbour Division), Sergeant (SGT) Mak Wai-yuen and PC Mok Wai-hong (Marine East Division), PC Wong Chau (Marine South Division), SGT Lung Kin-man, PCs Lo Wan-kam and Sha Kim-po (Marine West Division), Station Sergeant Law Wing-hong (Marine North Division), PCs Chan Siu-wa, Chow Man-wa, Chan Tang-kei and Cheung Chin-yuen (Small Boats Division), PC Ngan Ming-shing (Kowloon East Police Tactical Unit), PC Chau Chun-yip (Kowloon West Emergency Unit) and PCs Chan Ping-kei, Lai Chi-man, Siu Pak-yue, Wong Ka-hang, Wu Tsz-pan and Chong Chi-fung (Hong Kong Island Emergency Unit). |
