Mr Chau Kwok-leung,

Regional Commander,

New Territories North Region.

Dear Sir,

Thank you very much for your reply letter dated March 23, 2012.

I wish to let you know how much I appreciate the prompt and determined action taken by the detectives handling my case in putting the rascals under check over the past ten days. I learned from the "Kai Fongs" that these local rascals, strongly believed to be those who actually twice splashed paints to my clinic, have become far less aggressive and over-bearing in recent days as a result of being arrested by the police. No matter whether they will be charged with any offence or not at the end, they have surely learned a lesson that police officers in Hong Kong will never tolerate their irresponsible behaviours as the latter will be able to provide adequate protection to the law-abiding citizens, as in my case.

I am very glad to see more police officers patrolling in our area recently and I hope they will continue to do so even after the heat of this case cools down later. I am also pleased to learn that you will follow up the parking problems at Chui Pak Road by instructing your frontline officers to take step-up enforcement action and at the same time liaise with other stakeholders to look for a long-term solution.

I am so much grateful for your help in this incident. I'll be proud to tell my relatives and friends, both in Hong Kong and abroad, that Hong Kong is undoubtedly a really safe place to live because we have a team of highly efficient and most reliable police force providing us excellent services 24 hours a day. Sir, please allow me to pay you my highest regards.

Dr J. Wong
