MDP seminar on Strategic Change Process
At the invitation of Police College, Prof Andrew Chan Chi-fai, Director of Executive MBA programme and Head of Shaw College, Chinese University of Hong Kong, spoke on the topic of "Stakeholder-oriented Innovation and Strategic Change Process" at a Management Development Programme (MDP) seminar at Police Headquarters on April 23.
Prof Chan introduced his concept of Strategic Change Process and analysed how the needs of stakeholders interact with police services and service standards. He also highlighted the external factors that would affect the needs of stakeholders. His talk was insightful and thought provoking, helping the audience with application of change management concepts.
0ver 100 officers and civilian staff also had a good exchange of views with Prof Chan during a question-and-answer session. The voice recording of the seminar is available at the Learning Portal in Knowledge Management on POINT.
The next MDP on "Implications of Social Networking on Policing" will be held at Police Headquarters Auditorium on May 16.
