Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung presented a Certificate of Appointment to a new Honorary Advisor and a new Associate of Police College on May 15.

The new College Advisor is Mr Robin Tse Shu-chun, who served as Director of the college between 2006 and 2007, and the new Associate is Dr Edmond Lau Kam-lun, the incumbent Senior Police Clinical Psychologist.

Mr Tse possesses profound knowledge in leadership and management training, whilst Dr Lau has expertise in clinical psychology service. Both consider their appointment an honour for them and pledge to do their best to serve the college.

The Honorary College Advisors and Associates (HCAA) Scheme began in January 2006 with a view to recruiting Advisors from outside the Force and internal experts as Associates to provide professional advice and to conduct learning programmes for Police College.

All the College Advisors and Associates are appointed on a two-year term. The latest appointments have brought the total number of HCAA to 22, comprising 18 Advisors and four Associates. It is hoped they would bring in expertise in various fields, including leadership and strategic management, physical training, forensic science in document examination, law and court procedures, paramedic training, social and political sciences, negotiation skills and psychological competency.
