Marine Harbour Division (MHDIV) is adopting a proactive approach to combat quick cash crimes. In an effort to prevent and deter such crimes onboard vessels and to enlist public support for this job, MHDIV, in conjunction with Marine Regional Crime Prevention Office and Marine Port District Police Community Relation Office, hosted an anti-crime seminar on April 26 for over 30 representatives from various fishery and vessel associations. Speaking at the seminar, Marine Harbour Divisional Commander John Cameron emphasised the importance of having proper and sufficient security devices onboard vessels as well as the co-operation between the maritime community and the police. Officers from the crime prevention office introduced to the participants the security devices available in the local market. ![]() |
