CE Commends Force's Professionalism

by the Secretary for Security, Mr Lai Tung-kwok, the Chief Executive
had a friendly dialogue with over 30 officers from various formations
to learn more about their daily work and the challenges they face.
Mr Leung said he had every confidence in the Force and commended their professionalism and dedication to duties.
In an earlier letter to CP expressing his appreciation to the Force, the CE said he fully understood the huge challenges the Force faced in facilitating the smooth conduct of public events, big and small, and maintaining social order at the same time.
"These are underscored by the determination and perseverance of the Force in providing essential support to the series of 15th Anniversary events, the inauguration of the fourth term Government as well as my team's recent district visits," he noted.
Mr Leung said police officers had once again delivered these missions competently to uphold the Force's reputation of being 'Asia's Finest'.
"It would not have been possible for the events to proceed as planned, or for me and my team to reach out to the public, without the Force's staunch support," he added.
