Assistant Commissioner (Operations) Wong Chi-hung presented on July 31 a letter of appreciation to Superintendent (SP) Yu Yin-ching from Narcotics Bureau, who has completed a three-year tenure as Commander of Tango Company, as well as a letter of appointment to SP Yu's successor, SP Chui Po-chu from Service Quality Wing. SP Yu assumed leadership in Tango Company in April 2009 and stepped down upon the successful conclusion of a series of police operations for the HKSAR 15th Anniversary in July. Having actively participated in various operations over the years, SP Yu is delighted to have gained unique experience from policing a number of high profile public order events. She is greatly impressed with the dedication and perseverance of Tango officers who, from time to time, turned out to support frontline units. SP Yu had played a pivotal role in maintaining Tango Company as professional as it is today. She also appreciates Tango officers' participation, as volunteers, in charitable events like Trailwalker and 30-Hour Famine. Mr Wong took the opportunity to express his appreciation of SP Yu's competent leadership and thank Tango officers for their commitment and professionalism. Meanwhile, SP Chui is looking forward to the challenges of her new appointment and Mr Wong is confident she would make good use of her operational experience to lead Tango Company and render support to frontline units. ![]() |
