Yau Tsim District (YTDIST) held a "Say No to Drugs" anti-drug publicity campaign in Tsim Sha Tsui Kaifong Welfare Association on July 10 when over 600 youngsters from local and Non-Ethnic Chinese (NEC) primary and secondary schools as well as Junior Police Call (JPC) members pledged to "Say no to Drugs" in the presence of a large gathering of guests.

YTDIST hopes the campaign would keep teenagers away from drugs during the summer holidays and remind youths and anti-drug support services that the Force and non-government organisations (NGO) would provide services and assistance whenever they need.

Among the officiating guests who watched the youngsters make their pledge were District Commander Cheung Kwai-kee, Chairman of Yau Tsim Mong District Fight Crime Committee, Mr Chan Siu-tong; and Yau Tsim Mong District Officer, Mrs Vicki Kwok.

Among those lending support to the campaign were members of Yau Tsim Mong District Fight Crime Committee, Yau Tsim Mong District Council, Yau Tsim Mong Area Committee, NEC leaders, and representatives from Social Welfare Department and NGOs.
