Traffic Officers learn prosecution work |
||
The Force carries out about 1.3 million traffic enforcement actions per year, ranging from issuing Fixed Penalty Ticket for parking offences to taking out prosecutions in more serious cases. Every day, frontline officers and Traffic Wardens deal with the public in these aspects of work. As part of its Traffic Policing Excellence Series to further enhance the professionalism of Traffic Officers, Traffic Branch Headquarters, on September 6, invited the Chief Court Prosecutor (Operations) of the Department of Justice, Mr Brian Chan, to share with 300 Traffic Officers his experience of conducting traffic prosecutions. Mr Chan's presentation enabled the officers to gain valuable prosecution experience and helped ensure fair administration of justice and improve road safety. ![]() |
