Boys' Brigade disseminates crime prevention messages |

Continuing its partnership with community organisations, the Regional Crime Prevention Office of Hong Kong Island (RCPO HKI) has extended its Crime Prevention Pioneer Scheme in an effort to bring the "Join Police to Fight Crime" message to youngsters, and to make them realise their civic responsibilities through activities organised by the Force. RCPO HKI launched a large-scale crime prevention drive known as "EAGLEHUNT" in various places on Hong Kong Island on September 15 in conjunction with HKI Police Districts and the Hong Kong Boys' Brigade in a bid to raise public awareness of safeguarding personal property and preventing pickpocketing and thefts. The publicity drive was conducted in places with massive flows of pedestrians, such as shopping malls, markets, bus stops and outside MTR stations, as well as tourist attractions like Lan Kwai Fong and Victoria Park. During the drive, 28 members of the Boys' Brigade, acting as Crime Prevention Pioneers, handed out to the public leaflets and other publicity items on crime prevention. In response to the promotion of civic awareness, RCPO HKI will continue enlisting the participation by all walks of life in crime prevention, including the younger generation. ![]() |
