KTDIST appoints more 'Fight Crime Ambassadors'
Kwun Tong District (KTDIST) Commander Chau Cho-kei and the Chairman of the Sai Kung District Fight Crime Committee, Mr Lau Wai-cheung, recently officiated at the 6th Appointment and Commendation Ceremony of the Tseung Kwan O Fight Crime Elderly Ambassador Project in Tseung Kwan O Police Station.
The project has been running for six years and so far 50 senior citizens in Kwun Tong have been recruited as "ambassadors", with the eldest one aged 85. They have been visiting elderly centres in the district with officers to drive home anti-deception messages to their peers with an anti-deception drama.
This year, Kwun Tong District has again successfully recruited 12 more "ambassadors" to help publicise crime prevention messages.
