NTS, Shatin District praised
Representatives of the Sai Kung North Rural Committee, Tai Po District Council, Shap Sze Heung and Tseng Tau Village presented tapestry banners to New Territory South (NTS) Regional Commander Yu Mun-sang, Shatin District Commander Chau Ping-sun, NTS Senior Superintendent (Crime) Au Chin-chau and officers of NTS Regional Crime Unit Team 2B and Shatin District Crime Squad 1 on September 25 for solving a murder that happened in Tseng Tau Village, Ma On Shan, in November 2010.
The representatives complimented officers for their teamwork and professionalism in solving the murder and apprehending a suspect, who was later sentenced to life imprisonment in High Court.
At the presentation ceremony, Mr Yu thanked the villagers of Tseng Tau Village for providing useful information leading to detection of the murder. With their co-operation, the crime rate in the village was maintained at a low level, Mr Yu said, adding that he hoped the police and villagers would continue to work closely to fight crimes.
