Dear Sir / Madam,

I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for all the help I got this morning from several policemen, especially PC 33753.

My husband and I were driving past Connaught Square this morning and the hind wheel fell into a hole that was not covered by a steel cover plate. Not really knowing what to do, we called 999, and within a couple of minutes, PC33753 arrived at the scene. After understanding what the situation was, and found out that both my husband and me were not injured, he immediately did all that he could to assist us. He contacted the constructor who was responsible for the roadwork, guided us to what we needed to do, and dealt with traffic, etc. He explained to us in details what our options and the procedures were, and wrote down all the information we needed to sort out the case in the future.

He was very polite, thorough and caring when dealing with us. Under the situation, I and my husband appreciated that a lot.
