PEC runs more Extended Interview Workshop |
||
Encouraged by the success of a similar event last year, Police English Club (PEC) hosted another Extended Interview Workshop for Potential Officers at Police Officers' Club on October 18. At the invitation of the club, five retired senior officers of the Force, Messrs James Elms, Chris Jones, Stewart Kavanagh, Russell Mason and Kavan Cooper, offered 30 PEC members valuable advice on how to attend the Extended Interview. For a practice session at the workshop, the participants divided themselves into five small groups for discussions on the current issues relating to the Force and society. A speaker conducted each group discussion and evaluated individual performances after discussion. A representative of each group then gave a presentation on what they had learned in the practice session. The participants found the workshop very useful for their preparations for the Extended Interview. The workshop concluded with PEC Vice-Chairperson (External), Chief Inspector Kwok Mei-sum, encouraging the participants to apply what they had learned and keep on brushing up their proficiency in English. PEC will organise more workshops on English and those interested are advised to watch out for PEC's activity programmes. ![]() |
