Force Search Unit (FSU) held a dinner party in Police Sports and Recreation Club on September 14 to mark its 20th anniversary, drawing a total of about 200 serving and past FSU members and guests.

FSU also staged an exhibition on a variety of old and new search equipment, including the special equipment used by the High-rise Search Team and the Confined Space Search Team. Also on display were photos of FSU members taking in major operations.

During the dinner, photos of FSU's participation in major operations were shown and FSU Superintendent (SP) Lee Kiu-ki traced the developments of FSU and shared his happy memory of the good old days of FSU. SP Lee also donated two metal searcher models, one as a prize for a lucky draw that evening and the other for the Community Chest of Hong Kong for charitable purposes.

Attending the dinner as guest of honour, Assistant Commissioner (Operations) Wong Chi-hung, presented an award to the winners of the "FSU 20th Anniversary Logo Design Competition" - a team comprising Sergeant Chan Ka-wing and Police Constables Tsang Chi-yung and Cheung Hiu-fung.

One of the highlights of the dinner party was a band performance, adding to the jovial atmosphere, and both FSU members and guests cherished the opportunity to get together and renew acquaintance.

A sum of 22,717, the balance of the dinner proceeds after payment of the necessary expenses, will be donated to the Police Children Education Trust.
