HKP Mobile Application enhanced |

After the "Hong Kong Police Mobile Application" (HKP Mobile App) was launched on July 18 this year, smartphone users can download this application to obtain the latest police information anytime and anywhere. Since the launching, the number of downloading has accumulated to over 47,000 and feedback from the users has been very positive with the average rating topping four out of a total of five. Version 1.1 was rolled out on October 9, carrying an additional feature of "Clarification/Response to Media Enquiry or Report", which allows users to access the Force's replies to the media and understand the Force's stance on certain issues. After further enhancement, version 1.2 was rolled out on December 7. This new version categorises feature of "Press Release" into five areas, namely Crime, Traffic, Missing Persons, Public Events and Others. By simply pressing icons, users can gain access to different categories of press releases. At the same time, the "Press Release" on the Police Public Page has also been categorised accordingly. To experience the features of the HKP Mobile App, one can download the application from App Store or Google Play. For those who have already done so, the latest version can be obtained through the App Store or Google Play of their smartphones. |
