The 52-event Police Swimming Gala 2012 came to a successful conclusion at the Swimming Complex at Shing Mun Valley on November 24, setting a new Force record.

This year has seen vigorous contests, particularly amongst the swimmers from Police College and Kowloon East Region, and they respectively lifted the trophies for Men's and Women's Overall Champions. Marine Region, which fielded the largest team, captured the "Best Participating Trophy".

Selection of the Best Cheering Team is always the most difficult and exciting part of the Swimming Gala. At the invitation of the Police Swimming Club, Chief Superintendent Cheng Shuk-chun picked the cheering team from Tai Po District as winner for demonstrating their energy and team spirit with eye-catching District banners.

In individual events, Police Constable Leung Ka-ming from Sha Tin District captured the Men's Individual Championship by smashing the record of 100m Backstroke, while Police Constable Wu Pui-yan from Sau Mau Ping District clinched the Woman's Individual Championship.
