District Council praises officers over 4th alarm fire

The Eastern District Council presented banners in North Point Police Station on December 28 to officers of Eastern District (EDIST) and North Point Division (NPDIV) for their performances in handling a 4th alarm fire that broke out in a building in North Point last November.

Officers of NPDIV Patrol Sub-unit 4 and Police Tactical Unit E Company assisted firemen in evacuating the residents and helped them taking shelter in a nearby community centre. At the same time, NPDIV Task Force Sub-unit officers provided support while EDIST Police Community Relations Office officers liaised with Eastern District Council members and other government departments to offer other assistance to the residents.

Eastern District Council Chairman, Mr Wong Kin-pan, presented banners to EDIST officers for their performances during and after the fire.
