SSPODIST Speech contest on Integrity Management |

Sham Shui Po District (SSPODIST) has been endeavouring to promote the Force Strategy on Integrity Management and cultivate such a culture among its officers. Between November and December last year, SSPODIST ran a "Hobby/Talent Sharing" Speech Competition for officers to brush up their presentation skills and confidence, strengthen friendship and lead a healthy lifestyle. Funded under the 2012-2013 Police Staff Motivation Scheme, the competition attracted 13 officers from different units, who entered as individuals or groups. Upon adjudication by a panel, the group formed by Police Constables (PC) Cheung Ching-man and Lam Chun-kit of Patrol Sub Unit 1 Cheung Sha Wan Division was crowned champion. Their introduction on the ways to learn Putonghua, presented in fluent Putonghua, won loud applause from the audience. The silver award went to PC Leung Ching-lung of Patrol Sub Unit 3 Cheung Sha Wan Division, who shared his experience of video post-production. PC Chan Chun-kit of Patrol Sub Unit 4 Sham Shui Po Division clinched the bronze award with an introduction on the sport of Ten Pin Bowling. SSPODIST Commander Chiu Kai-ting presented awards and souvenirs to the winners in recognition of their efforts on December 12. All the recipients were unanimous in the view that they had brushed up their presentation skills and enhanced their confidence. |
