In a bid to improve communication with the Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) students and arouse their interest in joining the Force, Recruitment Division, Police College and Police Community Relations Office of Eastern District jointly conducted an "Experiential Tour" at Police College for 60 NEC secondary students on November 29. The full-day programme introduced the daily life and training of recruit police constables, including tactics, foot drill, and physical training.

Immediately after the tour, the students attended a recruitment talk given by Chief Inspector (Recruitment) Cheung Kwok-wai on recruitment selection process, recruitment criteria and the required attributes of police recruits. With the arrangement made by Recruitment Division, newly graduated Police Constable Mohammad Heina Rizwan, who is of Pakistani origin and has grown up in Hong Kong, shared with the visitors her experience of police work and preparation for the recruitment selection process.

The NEC students welcomed the opportunity to know more about police recruitment and some of them indicated that they would work hard to meet the requirement of language proficiency and get better prepared for joining the Force after leaving school.
