KW Headquarters clinch bowling title

Following a total of 12 games in three preliminary rounds of the Police Inter-district Bowling Competition 2012-2013 in November, ten District teams with the highest scores entered the finals, an 18-game successfully completed on December 7. 

All the finalists came up with the highest standard in recent years and finally Kowloon West Regional Headquarters (KW HQ) pulled off victory, followed by Team A of Tuen Mun District as first runner-up and New Territories North Regional Headquarters (Operations) as second runner-up.

Superintendent Ho Yun-sing, Chairman of the Hong Kong Police Bowling Club, and Senior Superintendent Tam Chak-hang, Railway District Commander, presented prizes to the winner and runners-up.mun

Mr Tam also presented prizes to following winners of the preliminary rounds:

Team with highest scores in one game - KW HQ;

Team with highest scores in four games - Lantau District;

Individual highest score in one game - PC Ng Kit-yan; and

Individual highest score in four games - PC Li Lung-chun.

After the finals, Mr Ho pointed out that there has been an increase in membership as a result of the club's promotion of bowling. The club has also held different competitions in a bid to enhance members' skills. He advised those interested in joining the club to watch out for news on the Force NoticeBoard or the club's notice board in Police Sports and Recreation Club.
