Win a prize while trying to keep fit!

Force members have to remain physically fit in order to cope with a heavy workload. Force members now have a good opportunity to win attractive prizes while maintaining their physical fitness.

To encourage officers to take part in sports and cultivate a habit of exercising regularly, the Sports Unit of Personnel Services and Staff Relations Branch launched in September last year the "Fitness Challenge Scheme - Star of the Month" and "Active Participation Award Scheme" under the theme of "Easy Sport, Easy Job". Officers and civilian staff are welcome to join the schemes and win a prize.

Fitness Challenge Scheme - Star of the Month

Participants of this scheme are required to complete either three fitness challenges within three minutes: Push-up, Squat-thrust and Sit-up (1 minute for each challenge); or a 2000m indoor rowing exercise.  Male and female participants may enter one of the three groups according to their ages: Youth Group for 30 or below, Middle-age Group for 31 to 40, and Seniors Group for 41 or above. The participant with the best record from each group will be "Star of the Month", who will be invited to compete for the "Super PHM Star".  The champion of each group will receive an iPad Mini as a prize.

Active Participation Award Scheme

Participants are required to carry out any physical exercise in the fitness training rooms of the Force for 12 times on or before March 15 this year and each exercise should last at least 30 minutes. They will be eligible for a lucky draw upon submission of their record sheets to the Sports Unit. There will be three winners, each to be awarded an iPad 2. The Major Formation with the most participants will be presented with the "Most Active Participation Award".

The deadline for registration for the activities is March 15 this year.  For more details, see Force NoticeBoard or contact the Sports Unit on 2860-3292.
