The Human Resources (HR) Dashboard will provide HR management reports at the fingertips of the authorised users. This brand new function will provide HR-related statistics for management and manpower planning, textually and graphically. The enhanced security control and access rights of such HR data will be in line with the existing "need-to-know" principle and confined to Major Formation Commanders and their staff with administrative duties, such as Senior Superintendent to Chief Inspector, Assistant District Commander and Assistant Divisional Commander, for getting HR data for the officers under their command. The HR Dashboard aims to provide a wide range of management information on a single platform. Furthermore, with only a few clicks on the Dashboard, more detailed information from the data can be retrieved for more in-depth analysis. For example, the HR Dashboard contains useful management information such as an overall picture and analysis of the Establishment and Strength with relevant workforce profile; planned transfers; officers due for rotational transfers; job applications; officers' leave balance; projections of staff wastage; HR data for operational planning and training, skills and qualifications. Authorised users can log into the PICS II to select the type of HR information, and the relevant statistical data will be displayed. If the designated users wish to access specific data for more detailed analysis, they can simply click the respective links, and different types of graphs or charts on that specific subject will be generated. The HR Dashboard will enhance the efficiency and accuracy of Force HR management with useful statistics readily available at a glance, whilst ensuring data integrity remains intact. The next issue will introduce the new design of leave application and merging of PICS II and DS3. After the merging, all relevant HR data on PICS II will become a timelier source for operational deployment and HR management. |
