Police College rolls out e-Learning Package |
||
The Learning Development Support Centre of Police College has produced an e-Learning Package on Telephone Communication Skills to provide frontline officers with useful tips on handling calls in a more professional manner. The package is a subsequent measure to strengthen the effect of the Report Room Recording System rolled out to replace the voicemail system in December 2010, in a bid to improve service quality and protect report room staff from malicious complaints. Comprising seven modules, namely "Physical and Mental Readiness", "Seven Tricks of the Magic Fish", "3A", "3K", "Similar Names and Pronunciation", "Noise and Tone" and "Telephone Referral", the new package equips officers with effective telephone communication skills, thereby enhancing their ability to handle calls from the public. Users of the package would also develop better relations with their families, colleagues and friends with proper use of listening skills and other communication techniques in everyday life. Force members can click on Knowledge Management on POINT to access the package via the e-Learning Portal. ![]() |
