NTN presents PHM Award to 345 officers |

Supporting the Force's holistic Integrated Approach to Physical Fitness and Health Management (PHM), New Territories North (NTN) Region held the 5th PHM Award Scheme presentation ceremony on March 13. At the ceremony, the vice chairman of the Hong Kong Police Chinese Wushu Club, Chief Inspector Yim Chi-wai, gave a demonstration of "Wing Chun" martial art and NTN Regional Commander So Kam-sing led officers in practising martial art. A total of 345 awardees of the scheme took regular exercises for more than 150 hours in the past year. Among them, 18 received gold award for participating in sports and PHM activities, and 139 and 188 were presented with silver award and bronze award respectively. Letters of appreciation were also presented to 32 PHM Ambassadors for promoting of sports and healthy lifestyle. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr So praised NTN officers for promoting PHM and encouraging fellow officers to take part in a variety of sports and develop healthy lifestyle. The NTN Physical Fitness and Health Management Committee organised a variety of activities in the past year, like volunteer services, Regional Sports Day, Formation jogging race, yoga classes and social dance classes. Meanwhile, NTN has appointed 47 more officers as PHM ambassadors to help their fellow officers cultivate a habit of taking exercises regularly. ![]() |
