Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung led a three-member delegation to visit the Zhuhai Public Security Bureau (PSB) between April 5 and 6 and met PSB Director, Mr Zhang Qiang.

During the meeting, they discussed a wide range of topics, including the cross-boundary crimes that might happen after the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge opens in 2016. Both Mr Tsang and Mr Zhang saw eye to eye the importance of maintaining proper communication channels on criminal intelligence and information.

Mr Tsang was also invited to speak to over 350 senior officers from Zhuhai PSB about his experience in corporate governance. Drawing on his own experience, Mr Tsang described how a large and diversified law enforcement organisation embraced the underlying principle of corporate governance to achieve sustained operational effectiveness and accountability. The meeting also saw an exchange of views and opinions on issues ranging from policing environment to personnel management.

After returning to Hong Kong, Mr Tsang said the visit was fruitful, adding that closer ties with Mainland counterparts are indispensable in today's policing.
